Another day of rain and cold weather. Sigh. It is Ireland, so I shouldn't be too surprised. It's just not great weather to go out exploring with a camera. It is great weather to sit inside and read, journal, cook, and bake, though, so that's what I've been doing. I did venture out briefly this afternoon to go buy a sweater so I wouldn't be so cold, but, ironically, I didn't make it too far--it was too cold to walk 2.5 km each way. I did get some grocery shopping done, though, and I'm getting a bit more adventurous:
It's still not cooking from scratch, but it's a step in the right direction. And it's hella cheaper than eating out every night.
Observation of the day: Irish cat food commercial cats have Irish accents.
And for those of you in DC who think a 5¢ bag tax is unbearable, try 19¢ (in euros...which is about U.S. 25¢). A few of those and you start remembering to bring bags with you to the market.
